Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow….

Beginning Free-jumping in the shoot

This past weekend was the conclussion of our Saturday morning riding program, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect ending. Ten days prior, we had a predicted forecast of 50 degrees for Saturday. Unfortunately, the Lord decided to give the Thursday preceding the weekend all the warm temperatures, and give us SNOW, yes, SNOW !!! Our very first snowfall of the season greeted us at sunrise Saturday morning and the creative juices began flowing as riding lessons were to begin shortly.
It was absolutely magical. The farm looked like something off of a Courier and Ives greeting card. We’re hoping for a replay for Christmas morning, as well.
Our usually mild December seemed to be a thing of the past this year. Each Saturday of late has been unseasonably chilly, okay just plain cold. Still, everyone had a fabulous time and made a lot of progress, in a very short time. A couple of our riders were well seasoned in the saddle, while several others were experiencing their first time ever on the back of a horse and I’m pleased to say, fell in love with their new furry friends.
Many thanks to Hannah for all of her behind the scenes hard work, Natalie and Tina for helping us with the morning riding program in and out of the saddle, and ofcourse, my dear family.
