Baby, it’s cold outside……

January 9, 2010

I had to post a few pictures of the youngsters playing in the snow today. For “Bunny”, our orphaned foal, this was his very first experience with the white fluffy stuff. He wasn’t sure what to think about it. I had trouble getting him to leave my side to take a few pictures.
So, as we’re warm in our homes, listening to the fire crackle, the horses are slurping their warm bran mash this evening with their blankets on. An extra flake or two of hay and luke warm water for the night—They’re set !

Parting is such sweet sorrow

Always smiling while hard at it....

Yesterday marked the last day here for Hannah as she embarks on a new chapter in her life. Six months ago, Hannah joined us as our groom, stall cleaner, and overall helper. She began working for us the week that both Gregg and Grant had their surgeries and immediately, Jeri knew she could’nt get by without her help around the barn. Hannah quickly came into our hearts and proved herself to be irreplaceable. However, as Hannah has made the best choice for herself -to return to college full-time and move onto the campus of Asbury, we find ourselves seeking her replacement. We wish Hannah the very best as she is laying a strong foundation for her future.
